Life can be full of big emotions, especially for children and young people who are still learning how to make sense of their world. With a background in early childhood education and specialized training in play and sand tray therapy, Pooja creates a safe, nurturing space where clients can explore, express, and grow at their own pace.
Pooja earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas A&M University, concentrating on play therapy and adolescent therapy. Her foundation in child development informs her deeply respectful, child-centered approach to therapy, where each client is seen as capable, creative, and inherently worthy.
While Pooja has experience working with clients across the lifespan, she specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and college-aged young adults. Using child-centered play therapy, person-centered techniques, and sand tray interventions, she helps clients process difficult experiences, build emotional awareness, and strengthen their capacity for resilience and connection.
Whether a child is navigating anxiety or behavioral challenges, a teen is struggling with identity or self-esteem, or a young adult is facing transition and uncertainty, Pooja brings warmth, attunement, and deep respect to the uniqueness of each therapeutic relationship. She is honored to walk alongside clients and their families on their journey toward healing and greater wholeness.
